Additionally, you can keep your landline number when you move. However, this is only possible if you move within your own area code (for example, if you move from Amsterdam (020) to Rotterdam (010), this would not be possible). Check the area code of your current and future address via the COIN website.
The number retention process works as follows:
During the number retention process, your old provider and new provider work together to ensure that your phone number is transferred as per your request. This usually takes only a few days and is free of charge in most cases. The entire process is explained on the COIN website (in Dutch).
