Please note: We do not offer national 078 numbers, only regional phone numbers.

From which regions can I request a Belgian phone number?

We always have phone numbers available from all metropolitan areas in Belgium. These include Antwerp, Brussels, Liege and Ghent.

What are the legal requirements for getting a Belgian phone number?

Belgian law requires that you also have a presence in the region where you want to request/activate the phone number.

In addition, active Belgian phone numbers must be registered under an individual person or company. This means that it is mandatory for the end user to have a physical presence within the region of the phone number.

What type of identification is required for an individual person or company?

If you want to request a Belgian phone number as an individual:

  • Address details (corresponding to the region in which you are requesting the phone number).

  • A valid government-issued photo ID. A driving license is not sufficient.

  • Proof that you are registered at the given address (utility bills).

If you want to request a Belgian phone number as a company (business):

  • Address details (corresponding to the region in which you are requesting the phone number).

  • Extract from the Kruispuntbank van Ondernemingen (KBO) with company name and registration number.

  • Proof that the company is registered at the address given (is often stated on the KBO extract).

How do I request a Belgian phone number from Rinkel?

Great! We would be happy to arrange a Belgian phone number for you.

This is how you request one:

  • Become a customer at Rinkel and go through all the steps in the ordering process.

  • Temporarily choose {93}any Dutch 085 number{94}, we will remove this from your account when your Belgian number is assigned.

  • After activating your account, tell us via chat or email that you want a Belgian phone number.

  • We will contact you (by phone or email) and ask you for the necessary additional documents. Then we will send everything out the same day!

Please note: Applying for an international phone number takes a lot of work. For each phone number we charge a one-off fee of €30 to cover these additional costs. This will be charged when the number is delivered. We would like to receive approval for this in advance.

Activating a Belgian phone number takes 10 working days on average.
