How do I set up call forwarding in the My Rinkel app (Android)?

You have various options for forwarding your landline number. In this article, we’ll walk you through how to set up call forwarding in My Rinkel on your Android:


What are the call forwarding options?

Choose the forwarding sequence when a call comes in.

  • Simultaneously... the call is put through to every colleague at the same time (first-come, first-served)

  • One by one... do you work with several colleagues and want colleague 1 to be the first in line? If so, please enable this option and put colleague 1 at the top of the list

  • Straight to the answering service... temporarily unavailable, but you want the caller to be answered personally? Then choose our answering service


How do you add a user or number to the call forwarding list?

Add a user

  1. Open the My Rinkel app

  2. Go to the top left menu and click on “Forwarding”

  3. In the menu that appears, click on “Forwarded to”

  4. On this page, click on the + icon in the bottom right-hand corner and “Select user"

  5. Select the user that you want to add to the call forwarding list

  6. The user is now added and is immediately active in the call forwarding list

Add a number

  1. Open the My Rinkel app

  2. Go to the top left menu and click on “Forwarding”

  3. In the menu that appears, click on “Forwarded to”

  4. On this page, click on the + icon in the bottom right-hand corner and select. Enter phone number

  5. Enter the number you want to add to the call forwarding list and click on “Ok”

  6. The number is now added and is immediately active in the call forwarding list

Good to know! You can forward to as many numbers as there are users in your plan. So, if you have a subscription with 3 users, you can forward to (maximum) 3 users/numbers.


How do I remove a user or number from the call forwarding list?

  1. Open the My Rinkel app

  2. Go to the top left menu and click on “Forwarding”

  3. In the menu that appears, click on “Forwarded to”

  4. Swipe the user or number you want to delete left or right

  5. The user or number is now deleted and the change is immediately active


How can I make a user or number temporarily active/inactive?

  1. Open the My Rinkel app

  2. Go to the top left menu and click on “Forwarding”

  3. In the menu that appears, click on “Forwarded to”

  4. Click on the “toggle” icon to the right of the user or number. Active = bold, inactive = not bold

  5. The change is active immediately

This feature is ideal if you are going into a meeting or are out of office for a day and don’t want to receive any calls for a while. Just don't forget to reactivate yourself when you want to receive calls again.


How do I set the order in which the users/numbers are called?

This is called the call sequence and you set it as follows:

  1. Open the My Rinkel app on your Android phone

  2. Click on the three bars at the top left and then click on “Forwarding”

  3. Click on “Forwarded to”

  4. Here you can see all users and/or numbers that are in the call forwarding. Drag the three dashes to the left of the numbers/users up or down to change the call order.

Your changes are active immediately.
