WhatsApp Business: Now you can use it on several devices at once!
Do you already have WhatsApp Business with your Rinkel landline number? Then we have good news for you! WhatsApp has launched a BETA that you can try out. Be one of the first to manage your company's WhatsApp Business with several colleagues at the same time.
It’s a real bonus, also for us. While previously only our colleague Mike could be reached via WhatsApp Business, now our other colleagues can also be reached with the tool.
We had previously signed up for the WhatsApp BETA but were not selected. However, recently Mike noticed that we could use the new feature! So, we though you should know it too!

How does WhatsApp Business work with multiple users?
Since April 2023, WhatsApp Business can be used on up to 5 different devices, including 5 phones. The WhatsApp Business app is activated on one phone and can then be linked to 4 additional phones or computers. Previously, it was only possible to use WhatsApp Business on one phone and link it to 4 different computers or laptops.
This new feature makes it easier for you and your colleagues to handle your chats via WhatsApp, no matter where you are.
The phone on which the WhatsApp Business app is first installed is always the administrator of the phone number. Through the first phone, you also have additional settings, such as linking or unlinking devices. The first phone does not necessarily need to remain connected to the internet to send WhatsApp messages with another device; however, all linked devices will be unlinked if you do not use the phone for 14 days.
You should really think of it as an add-on to your existing WhatsApp Business account. The person with WhatsApp Business on their phone still has the most control.

Connecting multiple devices to your WhatsApp Business account
For the person who first installed WhatsApp Business:
- Go to the WhatsApp Business app on your phone.
- Click on 'Settings' at the bottom right.
- Click on "Connected devices" and then on "Connect new device"
- This will open your camera. Scan the QR code on your colleague's screen.
