Number porting for business landlines

Simple! When you’re signing up for Rinkel, there are three options to choose from. Choose ‘move my current number’ and we’ll take care of the rest.

1. Sign up to Rinkel with your porting request. You can do so here.
2. The Rinkel team will request your porting.
3. You're still available to make and take calls throughout the entire process.

No, not with Rinkel. We’ll port your existing number for free. However, some telecom companies do charge a fee for number porting—especially when it comes to business numbers and VoIP.

Between 2-5 business days. The length within this bracket depends on your current provider. People will still be able to call you, and you’ll still be able to make calls during the entire porting process.

We can transfer 085, 088 and all regional numbers such as 010, 020 or 030.

when you switch to a new telephony provider:

1. When switching to another provider after your contract has ended;
2. When switching to another provider during the term of your contract (this may incur additional charges from your current provider);
3. Up to one month after the termination of your contract;
4. Without terminating your contract: only your phone number is transferred.

Additionally, you can keep your landline number when you move. However, this is only possible if you move within your own area code (for example, if you move from Amsterdam (020) to Rotterdam (010), this would not be possible). Check the area code of your current and future address via the COIN website.

The number retention process works as follows:

During the number retention process, your old provider and new provider work together to ensure that your phone number is transferred as per your request. This usually takes only a few days and is free of charge in most cases. The entire process is explained on the COIN website (in Dutch).
